Snowshoe Lodge: Your perfect Winter Wonderland!
If you're looking for solitude, scenery, and great snow, look no farther than Snowshoe Lodge in the Wyoming Big Horn Mountain range. We are located right on top of trails, offering great views and warm and personable hospitality.
Snowshoe Lodge takes its name from its very location, Snowshoe Pass, which leads to the back country of the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area. Usually by the Thanksgiving holiday, the snow starts to fall and as winter progresses, comes in heavy.
Snowmobile Paradise -- Fresh Powder and Over 400 Miles of Trails
The Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming are snowmobiling's best-kept secret and Snowshoe Lodge is the best lodging in the Big Horns.
At 8,650 ft, Snowshoe Lodge offers unbelievable powder at incredible altitudes beginning with 400 miles of groomed trails at your doorstep. Or make your own trail to the high country all the way up to 11,000 ft if you dare!
For trail traffic, we offer hot coffee and food, cold beer, snacks, and gas for your machine.
Other Winter Activities:
Cross-country skiing (both extensive trails and plenty of open country)
Ice fishing on nearby mountain lakes and ponds
After a long day traveling trails, Snowshoe Lodge provides your own warm, cozy heated cabins complete with kitchenette and bath.
Snowseason access: All people, food, drink, and necessities are packed in and out by snowmobile. With heavy snowpack, one can't access Snowshoe Lodge by four-wheel-drive vehicles. There is a parking lot located off Highway 14 across from the turn-off for Ranger Creek Station (Forest Road 17). This is where you can leave your vehicle and trailer and ride your machine up to the lodge.
